In
an era of thin voices and wispy emotions, Kristi King's mature sound and
approach to a song are a breath of fresh air. We believe her when she
delivers the plaintive lyrics of "I Can't Make You Love Me" or the saucy
lines of "Fever."
Her repertoire is amazingly versatile; she sings Aretha Franklin's
"Chain of Fools" with the same authority as Doris Day's
"Sentimental Journey." She
reminds us of the songs we’ve loved and the singers who sang them. But,
like a true pro, she interprets, never imitates.
Kristi
also sings her original songs.
